I prefer to let my work speak for itself. My paintings originate from a personal interpretation of the real world coupled with introspection...The source of many of my abstract pieces. I combine a process of experimenting with layers of various pigments, mediums, and papers, focusing on color and texture. When I begin to paint, color selection often dictates the direction my work will follow. My abstract work can be a challenge of discovering harmony from free-spirited and sometimes chaotic beginnings. On a very microcosmic scale, one can use the analogy of the “Big Bang” theory. Although the content of my work is subject to interpretation, there is an inner passion that drives me to give visual expression to my sense of the universe and my irrevocable connection with it. This is how I see myself.
